Min Joo joined Abingworth’s Menlo Park office in December 2025. Prior to joining Abingworth, Min Joo completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Her scientific background centers on neuroimmunology and lipid biology, with a particular focus on microglial lipid dysfunction in genetically driven Alzheimer’s disease. During her doctoral training, she gained therapeutics venture experience as a fellow at Novo Holdings and Insight Partners, and served as a business development consultant for Mirum Pharmaceuticals.

Min Joo earned her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UCSF, MSc in Prevention Medicine from Stanford University, and BA in Molecular Biology from Pomona College.
